He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lewis Acres and Mary Enid Floyd Acres; his former wife Marjorie Way Acres; his grandsons, Maylon Acres and Cody Scott; his stepson Wayne Lindsay; and his brother Patrick Acres.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Acres of Onalaska, Texas; his children, Stephen Acres (Arlene) of Henderson, Texas and Sharon O'Neil (Bobby) of San Saba, Texas; and his stepchildren, Rhonda Tucker (Wayne) of Livingston, Jo Ellen Gardiner (Johnny) of Onalaska, Texas, Chris Routson of Onalaska and Steven Smelley of Dayton, Texas. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
