We announce the death of Cheryl James of Orange, Texas, who passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 70. She was predeceased by: her parents, John James and Cleo James; and her brother John James, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Cherita James of Orange and Chenita Brown of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren, Crystal, Devin, Dylan, Taylor and AJ; and her brothers, Kenneth James, Stafford "Roy" James, Christopher James and Brett James. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Orange Church of God (1911 N 16th St, Orange, TX 77630). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
