She was predeceased by: her husband Glenn Stephenson; her parents, Billy Smith and Johnnie Smith; her sister Gail Wright; her parents-in-law, John E., Jr. and Helen Stephenson; and her brother-in-law John E. Stephenson, III.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa (Dustin Tilley) and Ashley (Lance Fitts); her brother Russell; her sisters-in-law, Lana Smith and Phyllis Stephenson Sulsar; and her grandchildren, Mason, Addison, Everly Fitts, Peyton and Owen Tilley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
In 2020, Debbie began a difficult battle with Alzheimer's disease, a cruel illness that slowly robbed her of many of the joys she so deeply deserved to enjoy during her golden years.
