We announce the death of Edwin James Bishop (Orange, Texas), who passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 70. Edwin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Donna "Nanny" Bishop; his parents, Ezra Bishop and Maxine Bishop; his siblings, Ezra Bishop Jr., Max Bishop, Richard Bishop, Butch Bishop, Jerry Bishop and Mary Stine; his nephew Dale Bonin; and his niece Renee Taylor.
He is survived by: his siblings, Bobbie Taylor, Pat Gunter, Carol Bonin, Ronnie Bishop (Joyce) and Diane Bishop. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Dorman - Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home (8808 TX-87, Orange, TX 77632). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
