He was predeceased by: his parents, Leatrice King Woods and James Alonzo Woods; his sister Shirley Jean Rhodes; and his half-brother William "Bill" Melvin Williams. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Woods; his children, Rev. Michael Dwyne Woods (Bridget), Eugene Woods Jr. (Falonda), Nesla Michelle Vaughns and Rhonda Nicole Mims; his sister Ann Cartwright; his goddaughter Claudine Chavis; and his niece Yolanda Rhodes. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Paul C. M. E Church (1201 N 4th St, Orange, TX 77630). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
