He was predeceased by: his parents, Hal R. Brown and Marie E. Brown (Haney); his wife Betty V. Brown; his siblings, Dolores Brown, Betty Jo Hester (Brown), James Brown and Kenneth Brown; and his sibling-in-law Jonette Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie W. (Kim Brown), Dale (Julie A. Edwards) and John D. (Vicki Brown); his siblings, Seth Brown and Joy Ray (Brown); and his grandchildren, Chelsea, Jalynne, Daylon, Alyson, Addyson, Hayden, Pierce and Paige. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
