We bid farewell to Jean Whitley of Orange, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 7, 2025 at the age of 93. Jean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Jean shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jean farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Whitley and Ruby Whitley; his stepmother Ethel Bates Whitley; his siblings, Marjorie W. Harvey and J. E. Whitley (Glenda); and his wife Glenda Finnell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Osborn (Roy) and Jennifer Harrison (Jeff); his granddaughter Libby; and his siblings-in-law, Florence and Jerry Evans. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Claybar Funeral Home (504 5th St, Orange, TX 77630, USA). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (502 N 6th St, Orange, TX 77630).
