He was predeceased by : his parents, George Hughes and Ena Marie Hughes (Abernathy); his grandparents, Alta King, James and Rosie Hughes; his in-laws, Ben and Lillie Burch; and his granddaughters, Makenzie, Makaela and Makenna Clark.

He is survived by : his wife Sybil Burch; his daughters, Laura Clark (Trey) and Emily Geldard (Steven); his grandchildren, Quade Clark, Max Geldard, John Hayden Clark and Addison Geldard; his siblings, Bob Hughes, Marge Lakin (Herb), Nancy Shipman, Janice Crabtree (Jim), Barbara Whitlow, Alta Lovsey (John) and Helen Saxby (Brad); and his sister-in-law Ann Wimberly. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
