He was predeceased by: his parents, Duhon Ezelle and Lockie Ezelle; his grandmother Ethel Young; his sister Mary Jane Young Pitts; and his pet Laney.

He is survived by: his wife Beverly Duhon; his siblings, Jackie Lingo of Orange and Jack Young of Jacksonville, Florida; his stepchildren, Christopher Dunsford and Anita Dunsford; his mother-in-law Jeraline Pearson of DeQuincy, Louisiana; and his siblings-in-law, Gerald Smith (Carolyn) of St. Francisville, Louisiana, Sara Conrad (Greg) of DeQuincy, Angela Touchstone (Gary) of Bancroft and Valerie Parker of DeQuincy, Louisiana. He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
