It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurence Ray Simar Sr. (Orange, Texas), who passed away on March 6, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ophelia Simar Strack and Sylvester C. Simar (Squinn); and his siblings, Roy Simar and Peggy Rashall. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Ulm Simar; his children, Ray Simar, Jr. (Karen) of Richmond, Texas, Dennis Simar of Orange, Texas, Kenneth Simar (Peggy) of Katy, Texas and Angela Taggart (Murrey) of Orange, Texas; his grandchildren, Jennifer Schwartz (Jason), Stephanie Krueger (Kyle), Patrick Taggart of Madison Taggart and Sarah Simar; his great grandchildren, Oliver Schwartz, Annabelle Krueger, Margaret Krueger and David Krueger; and his siblings, Bill Simar and Sylvia Mires.
