He was predeceased by: his parent Merrill Stringer, Sr. (Bud); his son Sterlin Wade Stringer; his grandson Colin Wade Stringer; his mother Pauline Stringer, (Sheppard); his brother Larry Stringer; his parents-in-law, Morgan and June Hamilton; his brothers-in-law, Robert Glenn Hamilton and Glenn Sanders; and his nephews, Rob and Clay Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife June Ann Stringer; his daughter Dena Alaine Stringer of Gaithersburg, MD; his grandchild Lauren Nicole Stringer of Beaumont; his great grandchild Jackson Wade Johnston; his brothers, James David Stringer (Barbara) of Orange and Tacky Stringer (Diane) of Hemphill; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Stringer (Larry) and Gail Hamilton (Glenn); and his nephews, William Hamilton, Lee Stringer, Lance Stringer, Tracy Stringer and Steve Nesbit (David Weaver). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
