Robert leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Robert will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Shirley J. Teate; his sons, Robert L. Teate, Jr. (Cyndi), Cedrick Steve, Roy Steve and Ron Steve; and his siblings, Nancy McCoy, Mary Johnson, George Teate, Jr. (Donna), Deon Teate, Donny Teate, Sr. (Shelia), Danny Teate and Randall Wayne Teate. He was also cherished by grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church (106 W Park Ave, Orange, TX 77630). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
