With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Violet Lorraine Hunt of Orange, Texas, who passed away on April 12, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Emmery Padgett and Margie May Padgett (Heslip); her daughter Charlotte Ann Verdine; her siblings, Jerry F. Padgett, Loveless Schriber, Jr. and Debbie Padgett; her sister-in-law Elaine Padgett; and her son-in-law Gary Phillips.

She is survived by : her nephew Chris Padgett; her daughters, Betty Lorraine Paul and Tommie Elaine Phillips; her brother Larry Wayne Padgett; her niece Jerri Nicole Cormier; her son-in-law Jimmy Ray Verdine; and her caregiver Lillie Richards. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Claybar Funeral Home (504 5th St, Orange, TX 77630, USA). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
