He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Columbus and Ophelia Agatha Simar (Gallien); and his siblings, Ray Simar, Roy Simar and Peggy Rashall.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Zeto; his children, Laura Dougharty (Joe) of Orange and Mark Simar (Shondia) of Orange; his sister Sylvia Mires of League City; his grandchildren, Jason Duncan (Jessica) of Covington, LA, Elisa Moye (Jeff) of Bridge City and Lindsey Floyd (Colby) of New Braunfels; and his great grandchildren, Finnian Duncan, Kenley Moye, Wylder Floyd and Beau Floyd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
