He was predeceased by : his parents, George McGuire and Linnie Pouncy McGuire; his wife Lamarylis McGuire; his son Robert McGuire Jr.; and his siblings, Ben, Ennis, Andrew, Elmo, George, Josephene, Della Faye, Lucy, Naomi and Linnie.

He is survived by : his children, Stefanie King (Chad) of Vernon and Richard McGuire; his child-in-law Hali of Plainview; his grandchildren, Marcus Crosby of Vernon, Kelia McGuire of Minnesota, Marquis McGuire, Robert McGuire, III of Claude, Cameron McGuire of Canyon, Emma McGuire of Los Alamos, NM, Elizabeth Overbey, Denae Nichols of Plainview, Caelub and Brianna Vega of Crosbyton; his great grandchildren, Tayler Lei'Ann Schieck of Minnesota and Emersen Ray McGuire; and his brothers, Truman McGuire of Dallas, Mack McGuire of Dallas, Sammy McGuire of Dallas and Raymond McGuire of Dallas.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Assembly of God of Paducah (170 W, US-70, Paducah, TX 79248). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
