She was predeceased by: her parents, Dean F. Smith and Joan Kane Smith; her stepfather Bill Borden; and her in-laws, Clyde and Lillian Laws.
She is survived by: her husband Joe Laws; her children, Lindsay Wendling (Cory) of Nevada, TX and Evan Laws (Kaycie) of Tulsa, OK; her brothers, Paul Daniel Smith of Elmendorf, TX and David Smith (Beverly) of Brushy Creek, TX; her grandson Luke Laws; her nephews, Chris Smith (Katelyn) of Cedar Park, TX, Grant Johnson of Plymouth, WI and Tate Johnson (Allison) of Liberty Township, OH; her niece Kiley Critz (Jordan) of Bellbrook, OH; and her sister-in-law Bonnie Oulla (Price) of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by 8 great nieces, 1 great nephew.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memory Funeral Home (3434 TX-256 Loop, Palestine, TX 75801). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Frankston Methodist Church (110 S Weldon St, Frankston, TX 75763).
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a donation in Kathy's name to the little white church she loved.
