He was predeceased by: his parents, Russie Lee Maxey and Gracie Poole Maughn; his wife Brenda Maxey; his brothers, Arthur Lee Maxey and Donald Maxey; his daughters, Rhonda Jean Curry (Sammy Curry) and Donna Renea Maxey; and his grandson Joseph Brandon Curry.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Brandi Curry; his great grandchild Emily Curry; and his siblings, Judy Johnson of Panama City, Florida and Jimmy Maxey of Kings Mountain.
