He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert McKnight and Ella Mae Baldridge; his wife Lydia McKnight; his son Billy Jay; and his siblings, Carolyn and John.
He is survived by: his children, Dustin McKnight of Tecumseh, OK, Michelle Cover of Eden, ID, Jennifer Lacy (Phillip) of Panhandle, TX and Brian McKnight (Heather) of Amarillo, TX; his grandchildren, Sarah Sherman (Travis) of Oxbow, OR, Zane Cover, Annie Cover of Twin Falls, ID, Gracie Cover of Weiser, ID, Jacob Lacy of Panhandle, TX, Katelyn Kowalewski (Braedyn) of Panhandle, TX, Rylee McKnight of Amarillo, TX and Jaxon McKnight of Amarillo, TX; his great grandchild Cedar Sherman; and his sisters, Ruby Smith of Lees Summit, MO and Billie Jean Withrow of Hugoton, KS. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and lots of friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Texline Cemetery (308 W Market St, Texline, TX 79087).
