With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jan Mecaskey (Panhandle, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Teresa Sue Harrison Caldwell and Albert Caldwell; her husband Raymond Mecaskey; and her siblings, Harrison Caldwell, Dorothy Jean Knierihm, Leah Faye Walker and Helen Katherine Mans.
She is survived by: her children, Max Mecaskey (Shari) of Amarillo, Lana Boland (Ed) of Panhandle and Pennie Lanier (David) of Panhandle; her grandchildren, Bryce Hanson, Ashley Fowler (William), Mitch Boland, Gregg Ward (Patricia), Victoria Ward and Alexandrea Ward; and her great grandchildren, Liam Ward, Abby Ward, Brynlee Boland, Weston Fowler and Erin Priebe. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
