He was predeceased by: his parents, Linda Lee Tucker Whitford and Larry Eugene Whitford; his grandparents, Lee Roy, Nola Gertrude Tucker, William Charles and Lillian Belle Whitford; his grandson Mony Ray Jack; and his pets, Star and Chloe.

He is survived by: his close friend Chuck Wallace of Panhandle, Texas; his children, Christen Mariah Jack (Luke) of Panhandle, Texas and Addam Brett Whitford (Emily) of Vici, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Dominic Brown of Panhandle, Madilynn Brown of Panhandle, Sonny Pepper Jack of Panhandle, Christina Whitford and Eleanor Bentley of Vici, Oklahoma.; his stepmother Jane Whitford of Guymon, Oklahoma; his brothers, Dennis Whitford (Marq) of Weatherford and Billy Whitford (Barbara) of Duluth, Georgia; his nephews, Ty Whitford of Weatherford, Brayden and Bryson Whitford of Georgia; and his aunt Billie Mae Gordon of Allen, Texas. He is also survived by several extended family members and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Parkinson's disease or cancer research in Brett's memory.
