She was predeceased by: her parents, Erbin Crowell and Louise Tyner Crowell; her husband Frank "Puff" Muir; her son-in-law Ron Griffith; and her brothers, Erbin Crowell, Jr. and Max Crowell.
She is survived by: her children, Amy Griffith of Canyon, Cindy, John Lieb of Pringle-Morse and Douglas Muir (Tamber McKown) of Bushland; her grandchildren, Brett, Annika Spalding, Craig Spalding, Ben Schmitt, Scott, Kelsey Spalding, Molly Lieb, Kate Lieb, Cooper Lieb, Hayden Muir, James, Kasey Muir, Casey, Lindsey Muir, Shawna, Donovan McKeown and Farryn McKown; her great grandchildren, Olivia, Stellan Spalding, Vincent, Wesley Spalding, Holden, Hailynn Muir, Rhyan, Preston, Noah, Lynnex Muir, Miles, Kate, Emily and Maggie McKeown; and her sister Mary Hall of New Boston, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors (510 Main St, Panhandle, TX 79068). A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Panhandle Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to help fuel someone's love of reading with a gift to your favorite library.
