With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Jean Shelby of Paris, Texas, born in Idabel, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 14, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Jean Shelby to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Ferguson and Fannie Ferguson; her husband Ben Shelby; her former husband Jimmy Shelby; her brothers, Kenneth, Vernon and Bill Ferguson; and her stepdaughter Patricia.

She is survived by: her sons, Owen Jobe (Kelley) of Reno and Danny Jobe (Joy) of Clayton; her grandchildren, Andrew, Rachel and Abigail; her stepdaughter Pam Robertson (Curtis) of Amarillo; her stepgrandchildren, Candace, Beau and Andraya; and her sisters, Bobbie Smith of Woodland and Velma Jacobs of Amelia Island, Florida.. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, 18 step great-grandchildren and 4 step great-great-grandchildren.
