She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Oliver Pridemore and Cora Dempsey Gill Pridemore; her husband Byron Townsend; her sons, Greg Townsend, Robert Townsend and Terry Townsend; her grandson Corey Townsend; her grandson-in-law Danny Lawson; and her great grandchild Megan Lawson.

She is survived by: her daughters-in-law, Patti Townsend and Mary Olsen; her grandchildren, Christy Lawson (Jarvis McCarty), Holly Scott (Marty), Kelly Nichols (John) and Wesley Judd Townsend; and her siblings-in-law, Rebecca Stephens and Sydney Townsend (Elaine). She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren.
