He was predeceased by: his parents, Esco B. Hicks and Mary Gertrude Hicks; his wife Sarah Janette Rattan (Jan); his son John Numan Hicks; and his siblings, Gerald Hicks, Jerry Hicks, Benny Hicks, Jeanette Stone and Sara Stogner.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sonya Younts (John) of Flower Mound, Cynthia Brown (Mike) of Rowlett, Jan Werth (Nick) of Garland and Janay Hunt (Brad) of Coppell; his grandchildren, Casey Churchwell, Brodi Brown, Nicholas Werth, Juliana and John Thomas Hunt; his sister Joyce Coleman (Bob) of Paris; and his sister-in-law Judy Hicks of Paris.
