He is survived by: his wife Kathryn M. Gomez; his son John J. Padilla; his grandchildren, Desiree Garza, Kathryn Aguirre (Anthony), Juan Diego Valdez (JD), Julian Padilla, Azia O. Tramel and Maximillian Arenas; and his siblings, Mike Gomez and Sylvia Montane. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
