He was predeceased by: his parents, Early Ray Daugherty and Elizabeth Marie Daugherty (Rakestraw); his wife Mary Sue Stevens; his grandson Kristopher Day; and his brother Roger Earl Daugherty (Rita).
He is survived by: his daughter Kristi Renae Sanders; his grandchild Korbin Day of Paris; his great grandchild Roman Collins-Day of Tyler; and his siblings, Hilda Snow Williams (Rockey) of Paris and Anthony Ray Daugherty (Jackie) of Bonham. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
