He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Rainey and Ola Pearl Bramlett Nance; his son Randy Nance; his sister-in-law Carolyn Heald; his nephew Garland Lamb; and his niece Peggy Cooper.

He is survived by: his daughter Terry Nance Barnett (Mike); his wife Nancy Biard Nance; his grandsons, Randy (Megan) and Ben (Kandace); his great grandchild Brooks Barnett; his nieces and nephews, Debe Wentworth, Deborah Lightfoot, Brint Scott, Philip Lamb and Warren Lee Cooper; and his brother-in-law Charles Heald.
