“So very sorry to learn that Gary lost his battle with cancer. I have so many fond memories of we "Maryland Barolets" coming to visit you "Rhode Island Barolets" at the farm in Wickford, Rhode Island. We were always paired up, usually by age...as there were increasing numbers of "kids" on each side of the families. Your "Butch" (Gary) & our "Butch" (Frank) were always doing something together. I'll always remember those days of visiting on the farm & later, visiting in New York & Florida. We all had some wonderful years together. Although we've all moved to many other places in the US, those memories linger on. We wish each of you peace with the wonderful memories of a great guy. Peace & Love to each of you. Grace (Barolet) O'Brien & Family”

“Barolet family. The world has lost a great man. My name is Paula Carboni and I worked with Gary at Waste Management. From the first day I met him, I knew he was a great man. If ever I needed to laugh or smile I would make my way to DFW Landfill to see Gary. Although I have not seen him in many years I have always kept up with him through Ed Reavis. I am sorry for your loss but I know Gary is shining down on us and keeping us safe.”
