She was predeceased by: her parents, Vollie Allen Gifford and Nannie Lou Gifford (Russell); her husband Jesse Fred Gooding; her children, Jesse Allen Gooding and Sharon Flores; and her grandson Marcus Flores.
She is survived by: her daughter Vera Armstrong; and her grandchildren, Ben Gooding, Camey Rodgers, Cindy Montalto and Stephanie Clement. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.
