He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Blackshear and Maggie Jackson Blackshear; his former wife Elwanda Worthey; his brother Curtis; his wives, Thelma, Mary and C. M. (Virginia); and his sisters, Earnestine Hindman (Ode) and Wanza Kilpatrick Offutt (L. C. Paul).
He is survived by: his brother Wayne Blackshear (Alice); and his siblings-in-law, Ron Culpepper, Marx Offutt (Shirley) and Louise Thomas. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews, and a host of friends.
