He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie McCarty and Etta Mae Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Elouise "Ella" McCarty; his children, Craig Douglas, Steve Douglas, Vickie Dillard (Mac), Tammie Jackson, Ronald Randle (Keena), Sonia Ellis (John), Dareyl McCarty, Jarvis McCarty, Ron McCarty (Robin), Eric McCarty, Kasey Ricks, LaShonda Barnett (Donell) and LaTonya McCarty (Pye); his grandchildren, Nichole "Nikki", Brittney, Travis Jr., Tamra, Christopher, Shatoya, Malcolm, Lakeem, Ranishq, Crystal, Heather, Denee, Ronald Jr., Zavaun, Brandon, Samautra, Dasha, Zoie, Keyera, Camren, Za'drien, Amir, Jabari, Kaylon, Kaliyah, Gabrel, Jayden, Addison, Shemar, Mason, Madisyn, Shae'brion, Dae'Brion, Tahirah and Kendell; and his siblings, Gail Cooper, Evelyn Mims, Anna McCarty, Faye Lattimore and Charles McCarty. He is also survived by great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and special friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peaceful Rest Funeral Home - Paris (624 5th St NE, Paris, TX 75460). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Palestine Baptist Church (15024 Farm Rd 906 E, Paris, TX 75462).
