He was predeceased by: his parents, Sandy Smith, Sr. and Juanita Smith Johnson; his siblings, Ray Smith, Robert Smith, Nell Marie Moore, Gladys Hill and Cynthellia Smith; and his son-in-law Bryan Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Smith; his daughters, Tawannia Simpson of Bedford, Tameca Johnson, La'Shomba Smith and Kimberley Smith (Christopher); his stepchild Effrin Smith (Subrina); and his siblings, George Johnson, Sr. (Betty Jean) of Paris, Texas and Christine Ellis (Bo).
