With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Cardwell of Paris, Texas, who passed away on April 30, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Leonard Cardwell and Bertie Ann Lowe Cardwell; his son Steven Wayne Cardwell; his grandchildren, Jacob Aaron Thompson and Heather McCall; and his siblings, Dema Boswell, Nolan Pack Jr., Ann Whittet and Jimmy Pack.
He is survived by: his brother Johnny Pack; his daughters, Deborah Thompson (David) and Suzette Nelms; and his grandchildren, Candace Leigh Penn, John Christopher Thompson, Jeremy M. Nelms, Joseph C. Nelms (Jennifer), Jarrett K. Nelms (Franckelle B.), Michael Vandenboom, Steven A. Vandenboom, Brigette Cardwell and Jessica Cardwell. He is also survived by several great grandchildren along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
