We announce the death of Fred Andrew Brieden of Pasadena, Texas, who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 86. Fred will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sr. Brieden and Nan Brieden; and his siblings, Nancy Lois Hill (Wes Hill), David Leon Brieden and John Michael Brieden.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ruth Fischer Brieden; his children, Melanie Anne Templin, Fred Andrew Brieden III (James Thomson) and Lance Aric Brieden (Donna Brieden); his granddaughter Exie Templin; his stepgrandsons, Matthew Shealy (Patricia) and Richard Shealy (Taylor); his sister Rebecca "Becky" Alice Cruse (Joe Cruse III); his sisters-in-law, Merri Lyn Brieden and Mary Christine Brieden; and his former wife Jo Nell Harvill Huff (Bill Huff). He is also survived by five step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (7500 Fairmont Pkwy, Pasadena, TX 77505). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to First Baptist Church Pasadena.
