He was predeceased by : his parents, James Albert and Mary Ruth Perkins Acton; and his sister Carolyn Acton Clute. He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth Ruth "Betti" Acton of Lake Charles, Louisiana; his children, James Earl "Duke" Acton, Elizabeth Ashley Acton Jimenez and Shannon Diane Acton Chambliss (Jerod Robert Chambliss); and his sister Jan Acton Wingo. He is also survived by his six grandchildren.
