Jerry leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jerry’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Jerry will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Ray and Joanne Alston; wife: Patricia "Patty" Alston; children: Caroline Covington (Darren Zielinski), Jeannette VonderEmbse, Jeannie Nelson (Lee), Jason Alston, and Jessica Wise (Travis); grandchildren: Ethan VonderEmbse, Kyle VonderEmbse, Zane Nelson, Kalub Alston, Savannah Raak, Lincoln Raak, and Behr Wise; sisters: Patricia Sabo (Mike) and Cindy Instone; nephews: Michael Sabo, Chris Sabo, and Billy Instone; niece: Sarah Miller; brother: Bubba Alston; and several great nieces and nephews, extended family members and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Grand View Funeral Home Yellow Rose Chapel (8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505).
