She was predeceased by: her former husband Dale Lonneberg; and her daughter Deborah Lanier. She is survived by: her husband Nick Schmidt; her daughter Christine Kerr (John); her grandson Daniel Kerr (Erin); her great grandchildren, Adalyn and Alexander; and her sisters, Deanna Krause, Darlene Hanula (Bob), Gloria Hinton (Clay) and Robin Tooke (Brit). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to breast cancer research in Lucy's name.
