He was predeceased by: his parents, Elias Thomas "Pie" Groft and Hazel Tandy Loy Groft; his former wife Judith Ann Leslein Groft; and his wife Ana Maria Diaz Groft. He is survived by: his sister Dianna Ruth Groft Magee; his children, Anita R. Pounders Kelly A. (John), Hoffman (Jason), Daniel T. Groft (Nettie) and Jonathan E. Groft (Lydia); his grandchildren, John III, Nicholas (Alexandria), Seth, Blake (Kayla), Elaine, Kristopher, Alexandria, Adrian, Samantha, Brenda, Jonathan Jr., Anabella and Isabella; and his great grandchildren, EJ, Eli and Niko.
