He is survived by: his daughter Sharlyn Hughston (Paul); his granddaughters, Payton Hughston and Samantha Hughston; his sister Carmen Anderson; his cousin John Ladd; his niece Kristin Anderson; his nephews, Lance Anderson, David Kidd, Brian Kidd and Greg Kidd; and his extended family, Eugenia, Elisabeth, Caroline, Paul, Michelle, Ray, Ronny, Vic, Jennifer, Abby, Victor, Buryl, Rey, Nancy, Bob, Lisa and Dana.

My entire career was impacted by the care and empathy I was shown as young patient of Dr. Kidd's in Pasadena. Dr. Kidd was so kind, caring, and understanding. As I have worked on issues that would've been near to his heart, such as the effects of tobacco -- I have always thought of him. He was a pillar of professionalism and excellence. I dedicate my years of fundraising for American Lung Association as a tribute to him.”
