We announce the death of Jim Miles in Pecos, Texas, who passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 80. Jim will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Jim will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Jim will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Jim’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Robert Miles and Charlotte Miles of Pecos; and his former wife Judy. He is survived by: his wife Angie; his sister Ruth (Gary Biller) of Huntsville, AL; his sons, James of Fort Stockton, Matthew (Stessa) of Fort Davis and Stephen (Joyce) of Houston; and his stepdaughter Brittany of Fort Stockton. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM.
