He was predeceased by: his wife Rosa Cortez; and his parents, Pablo Cortez and Julianna Medeles. He is survived by: his daughters, Vianei Garcia (Ramon) and Veronica Hinojosa (Romel); his grandchildren, Romel Hinojosa Jr., Derek Garcia, Giselle Hinojosa, Briana Garcia and Mikael Hinojosa; and his siblings, Eglentina Campos, Israel Cortez, Baudilia Farias and Hernan Cortez. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
