He is survived by: his children, Torri Janzen (Rusty) of Perryton, Texas and Kyler Bates of Abilene, Texas; his siblings, Byerl Bates of Perryton, Texas and Opal Hardy of Amarillo, Texas; and his granddaughters, Savana Janzen, Hanna Bates and Emily Bates.
