It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Bruce Swift of Petrolia, Texas, who passed away on March 10, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Reed Swift; his siblings, John Swift, Donald Swift, Gerald Swift and Beverly Stracener; his daughter Jeanette Swift; and his granddaughter Laura Swift.

He is survived by : his wife Dorothy Stryker; his children, Richard Swift (Sue) of Monmouth Illinois, Jim Swift (Anita) of Springfield Missouri, Rebekah Pruett (Jody), Darrel Swift (Jan) and Paul Swift of Petrolia Texas; and his brother George Swift. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren.
