He was predeceased by: his significant other Rossett Gonzales; his son Danny R Alvarez Jr.; his brother Bennie "Moe" Alvarez; and his parents, Carolyn Alvarez and Bennie Alvarez, Sr..

He is survived by: his brothers, Robert "Indio" Alvarez (Jeannette), Peter Alvarez (Virgie), John Michael "Bubba" Alvarez (Julie) and Joe Alvarez.
