He is survived by: his wife Tanya Mayes; his children, Antwan Tate (Shaye) of San Antonio, TX and Amber Mayes; his pet Ghost Mayes of Pflugerville, TX; his mother Linda Mayes Towles; his sisters, Tina Mayes Elliott (Rod) and Ericka Mayes; his aunt Jackie Dowdell of Canton, OH; his brothers, Ernest Williams of Canton, OH and Jason Benson of St. Petersburg, FL; and his granddaughters, Nichole Tate of Little Elm, TX, J'Naija Gould of Killeen, TX. and Jasmynn Gould-Tate of Killeen, TX.. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home & Cemetery (14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660). The military honors was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home (14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660).
