She was predeceased by: her parents, W. C. Stuart and Jimmie Stuart; her husband Jack Chitwood; and her grandchildren, Kinsey and Ryan Vandermeer.

She is survived by: her children, Kevin Chitwood and Melissa Vandermeer (Tim); and her granddaughters, Kallie and Maryn Vandermeer.
