He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harland Hultgren and Lois Hultgren; his wife Patricia "Patti" Hultgren; his daughters, Ann Renae Arras (Jay) and Wendy Lee Wasson (Bryan); his stepchildren, Morgan Iverson (Justin) and Adam Runmark (Julie); his siblings, Bruce Hultgren (Diane), Rick Hultgren (Kathy), Jerry Hultgren (Jeanie), Allan Hultgren (Diane) and Nancy Cassin (Dave); and his siblings-in-law, Deb Crowther (Alan) and Randy Ricchi (Jean). He was also cherished by 2 grandsons and 8 granddaughters.
