He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Ayala and Angela Ayala; his sons, Martin and Justo Ayala; and his siblings, Guillermo, Panfilo Ayala, Sara and Elvira Ayala.
He is survived by: his wife Amelia Ayala; and his children, Fernando, Alberto, Joaquin, Jaime Ayala, Angela Quintanilla, Bertha Alaffa and Amelia Ayala. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
