He was predeceased by : his father Melquiades Casas; his brother Manuel Casas; his grandparents, Maria Del Rosario Barrera (Chala), Aurelio Barrera, Manuel Casas Garza and Trinidad Casas Elizondo; and his aunts, Gertrudis Barrera Tenerias and Abelina Barrera.

He is survived by : his mother Clarita Barrera Casas; his children, Joel Patrick Casas, Isaiah Zaid Casas and Jade Alexandria Casas; and his siblings, Marilyn De Luna (Carlos), Sandra Garcia (Bob), Rosie Perez (Carlos) and Melquiades Casas Jr.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
