He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Cabrera Lara; his children, Erica Lara Flurry, Veronica Lara, Melissa Lara Trevino of Jorge Lara, II., Jamey Lara and Juan T. Lara; and his siblings, Maria Del Carmen Lara, Joel Lara and Javier Lara. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
